Chillin' by the Campfire

Fun times around the campfire! Matti curled up with Beadie in the tent and we're happy to report that he slept through the night each night. In fact, both dogs were exhausted by 8:30 or 9:00 each night, and slept close to 12 hours in the tent while we chatted around the fire. Matti saw deer on the trip... and was a little freaked out by them!

  1. Looks like a great dog! Pictures can be deceiving how big do you think he will get?

  2. Very good question... I wish I knew. Because ARF dogs are all mixed breeds and we often don't know the parents, it's impossible to tell. But Matti does have huge paws. Our own ARF dog is 55lbs and Matti is creeping up on her. Matti is 3 months and weights 31 pounds. The terrier/shepherd cross in my profile picture was about 75 pounds. It's common for ARF dogs to be that big (or bigger, or smaller!)

  3. We are previous ARF owners as well but had to say goodbye because of health issues. We are looking for another buddy but aren't so sure about how big yet? Do you think he would br good to jog with? What about young kids?
